Moviepalooza!!

This weekend the temperature dropped below -25 degrees. Unable to organize the garage and with all of our seeds ordered we found ourselves a bit bored. When the wind gets whippin' we head t0 the theater and video store. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and El Orfanto have been on our "to watch" list for a few weeks. Both films surprised me; Sweeney Todd was not worth the matinée prince while El Orfanto was worth the full $7.50. Why do I have a Juno poster if I did not see it this weekend? Because Juno remains my favorite winter movie. If you have yet to see Juno, go and see it now before it leaves theaters. Lately, Trevor has been picking out the videos we get from the store (I am in charge of Netflix). This weekend Trevor picked three of the worst movies. I could give a lengthy description of why these movies were so bad but I will just advise you to never rent 300, The Solomon Brothers, or a movie with Jet Li and that Jason fellow from various Guy Ritchie movies. Tonight I get to snuggle in with the heater at my feet and watch week two of PBS's homage to Jane Austen. I think tonight I will be watching Northanger Abbey. I will let you know if it is worth watching.

Grandma bought a computer!

Here are some photos for my Grandma Joann. The first photos is Trevor and Squid. During one of Squid's visits the temp reached 101 degrees. Like Pedro before him, Squid thought hair was to blame for uncomfortable heat. The second photo is of a happy family protest. I know Grandma wanted a photo of the house with its new paint job but I couldn't find one. Grandma, imagine the house with chocolate paint and lavender accents. Grandma's new computer and a modified work schedule inspire our family to keep this blog up-to-date.
